“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
— Aaron Siskind
I remember looking forward to shooting EJ and Kat’s wedding in Australia last year. It’s been months in the making and I was very excited to work with a new couple and explore a new work space. Australia was very breathtaking; each scenery seemed like it came out from a nature documentary. It was a very refreshing environment. Another blank canvas waiting to be touched with creativity.
As the day started, you could immediately feel romance buzzing in the air. You can feel positive energy radiating from the smiles of people taking part in EJ and Kat’s new milestone. This is one of the reasons why working abroad without the things I am more familiar with is enjoyable. Capturing photos and putting in your best efforts are easy when you are able to work with people who enjoy and appreciate your company. Don’t get me wrong, working alone has its burdens and challenges. It’s definitely not an easy task, but having a great work environment where one feels free to get lost in the stories he wishes to share through the art of photography is truly exhilarating. It is true what they say, when you love your job you will not get tired of working.
I am very thankful for all the wonderful opportunities that my clients have given me. Couples like EJ and Kat have allowed me to further enhance my skills and continue to grow as an artist in this industry. I have explored different parts of the world and hope that I can continue to do so in the future once this pandemic ends. Representing Litrato Yan and providing people with the quality services and products that they deserve will always be our utmost priority.
